Joseph Velick, 97, most beloved husband of, and love of his life, the late Marcella “Marcy” nee Kaufman for 58 years, cherished father of Jeffrey (Sandy) Velick, Debbie (Alex) Jacobson and Cheryl (Bruce) Shapiro; proud and dedicated Grandpa of Bari (Jason) Kaplan, Jamie (Greg) Mintzias, Mindy (Dr. Aaron) Kallsnick, Brian Shapiro, Sam and Rachael Jacobson; adoring great grandfather of Taylor, Brett, Cole, Emmy, Marissa and Michael; dedicated son of the late Samuel and Rose Velick. Proud veteran of World War II. Chapel service, Wednesday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
